The fixture began on October 11 at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground in Kalyani. Bengal won the toss and chose to bowl. Akash Deep made the first breakthrough in the sixth over, dismissing Sanat Sangwan.

Shami first removed Yash Dhull and later Ayush Doseja, who scored 45. Sarthak Ranjan contributed 33 runs for Delhi. Aamir Gani, returning to red-ball cricket after two years, took three wickets.

Hrithik Shokeen helped Delhi pass 200. He made 56 from 98 balls, including three fours and two sixes.

His partnership with Divij Mehra added an important 40 runs. Shami nevertheless dismissed both batters, bowling Mehra before removing Shokeen in the final over of the day.
