Soslan Margiev nominated to head South Ossetia’s government

South Ossetia’s president, Marat Kambolov, submitted Soslan Margiev’s nomination for prime minister to parliament. Lawmakers still have to consider the proposal; an appointment has not been announced.
Parliament told Interfax that committees would consider the nomination in the coming days before it went to a legislative session. The report gave no specific meeting date, so submission of the nomination should not be treated as a completed appointment.
Margiev has worked in Russia’s judicial system for more than twenty years, including fifteen years in judicial posts. He is currently deputy head of the anti-corruption directorate of the Judicial Department at Russia’s Supreme Court.
Margiev was born in Tskhinvali on June 20, 1982. He is forty-four years old.
