St Petersburg providers warn of internet disruptions

St Petersburg providers P.A.K.T. and eTelecom warned customers about internet access problems on October 17.

P.A.K.T. said on VKontakte that its servers were experiencing a severe DDoS attack. The company said some customers could face interruptions to both internet connections and access to their customer accounts.

eTelecom also published a notice about technical problems. Both providers said they expected to restore service shortly.
