Stavropol governor orders preparation of veterans' courtyard improvement programme

Stavropol region Governor Vladimir Vladimirov has ordered the development of a programme to improve courtyards where families of military operation participants live. The regional government reported the instruction after his October 14 public question session.
The instruction followed an appeal from a resident of Andzhiyevsky in the Mineralovodsky district. He said improvements to the courtyard of his apartment building remained under consideration.
The governor assigned the programme's preparation to regional Housing and Utilities Minister Alexander Ryabikin. The regional finance ministry is also to take part.
Vladimirov proposed allowing property management organisations to receive subsidies alongside municipalities. The regional government said financing was also planned for homeowners' associations.
The existing Road to a Veteran programme will serve as a model. It funded repairs to 49 sections of local roads with a combined length of more than 50 kilometres this year.
