Anna Yakimova discussed the Italian brand’s sheer tights and their discounted price, prompting mixed reactions online.
Stylist Anna Yakimova drew attention to a pair of black nylon Gucci tights designed with holes. In an Instagram post (Instagram is owned by Meta, designated an extremist organisation and banned in Russia), she joked that owners of any tights could now call them Gucci.
Yakimova said the Italian brand’s tights were currently discounted to 6,500 roubles from 10,800 roubles. Social-media users responded in different ways: some joined the joke, saying they already had similar tights at home, while others called the design a poor idea.
Lenta.ru also recalled a similar example from February, when Russian label Planta Rosa offered shorts with a cut-out over the buttocks for 45,000 roubles. That item also prompted discussion of clothing designed with deliberately unusual details.
