Sybiha says US intelligence sharing with Ukraine continues

Ukraine's foreign minister confirmed continuing cooperation with Washington after questions over a delayed warning during a missile attack on Kyiv.

Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum on October 13, Andrii Sybiha said Ukraine continued to receive intelligence from the United States. He acknowledged that an air raid alert during the overnight attack came late and attributed the delay to the type of weapon Russia used.

Ukraine's Air Force had earlier said Western partners provided no advance information about the launches. It said radar detected the ballistic targets directly over Kyiv. Sybiha's statement clarifies the status of broader cooperation following the account of a missing warning about that attack.

CNN had reported, citing European sources, that US agencies warned of a possible intelligence cutoff and a suspension of participation in weapons purchases for Ukraine. Those reported warnings had no official confirmation. Sybiha did not disclose which intelligence Washington was providing or whether the scope of cooperation had changed.
