Tesla demonstrates Roadster jump and midair flip

Tesla unveiled its electric Roadster sports car at a SpaceX test facility in Texas. During the demonstration, the car jumped over an obstacle made from other Tesla vehicles, flipped in midair and landed on its wheels, RIA Novosti reported.
A system of compressed-gas thrusters controls the car's position during a jump. In another demonstration, the Roadster drove upside down along a curved ramp before jumping back to the ground.
Fans generating downforce helped the car remain on the ramp. The demonstration took place on a test facility rather than a public road.
The presentation also included footage showing acceleration to sixty miles per hour, or about ninety-seven kilometres per hour, in zero point eight one seconds. That was a performance result presented by the company.
Tesla's official Roadster page says Rocket trim features are unavailable in some regions and that specifications associated with the Thrust augment are offered as an optional upgrade.
