The Finals to add commentary that responds to players' actions

The Finals will begin testing dynamic commentary on October 20. Embark Studios is introducing the feature through the multiplayer shooter's PRIME TIME update.

Virtual commentator Scotty will be able to describe participants' actions and make jokes that reflect events in the arena. The system combines a generative model with material prepared by the developers.

The feature will initially be available in only some game modes. The studio plans to evaluate the test results, refine the system and then expand the range of supported modes.
