Brentford contact police after rugby ball kicked towards stadium from roof
Brentford have referred an incident to police after a rugby ball was kicked towards their stadium from the roof of a neighbouring building during the Liverpool match.
It happened during Saturday's home Premier League game, which Brentford lost 1:2. Media reports described the ball bouncing off a roof before a club staff member removed it from the pitch while play continued.
In an official statement, Brentford described the behaviour as dangerous and potentially capable of causing serious harm. The club stressed the importance of safety for fans, staff, players and match officials.
Brentford said they were helping police identify those responsible and take appropriate action. The club said the investigation could lead to criminal prosecution.
