Three airlines adjust flights after Moscow airspace restrictions

Aeroflot, Rossiya and Pobeda changed schedules amid temporary airspace restrictions around Moscow and in the Volga region. Restrictions at Sheremetyevo were lifted at 17:34 Moscow time, with Rosaviatsia later announcing their removal at the other Moscow airports.

Aeroflot and Rossiya moved some departure times and cancelled a number of flights. Several aircraft were diverted to alternate airports. Pobeda also reported delays and cancellations linked to prolonged restrictions in Moscow and the Volga region.

RBC reported that restrictions were still in force at Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky at the time of publication, while measures at Sheremetyevo had been lifted at 17:34 Moscow time. Rosaviatsia later announced that restrictions on arrivals and departures had been lifted at all four airports in the Moscow hub.

Even after restrictions were lifted, schedules could take time to recover as airlines returned diverted aircraft and worked through accumulated delays. Passengers were advised to check flight status with their carrier and on airport departure boards.
