Three couples marry overnight at Moscow's Mayakovskaya station
Three wedding ceremonies took place at Moscow's Mayakovskaya metro station during the night leading into October 11. A total of 21 couples have married at the venue since the start of 2026.
Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova, who oversees social development, announced the results of the overnight ceremonies. MosInform reported her remarks on October 11.
The station is part of the New Addresses of Happiness project, which allows couples to marry at prominent urban locations in the capital. Weddings at Mayakovskaya take place at night, while the metro is closed to passengers.
After the ceremony, newlyweds and their guests can take photographs in the station's interiors and on a modern Moskva-2024 train. The overnight ceremonies are held separately from the station's regular passenger operations.
