Toulouse’s match against Troyes moved back a day amid protests

Toulouse’s French league match against Troyes has been moved from October 24 to October 25 because of planned protests. The fixture is part of the eighth round of the season.

The change was made at the request of the Haute-Garonne prefecture and in agreement with the broadcaster, the French professional league said. It affects Toulouse’s home fixture.

Demonstrations in several French cities the previous weekend were accompanied by unrest and clashes with police. Organisers estimated participation at about 800 thousand people, while France’s interior ministry put the figure at 550 thousand.
