Trump administration appeals order preserving White House access for three outlets

Donald Trump's administration filed an appeal on October 14 against a court order preserving White House access for CNN, MS NOW and Politico journalists while their lawsuit continues.
The filing was reported by RIA Novosti, which reviewed the court document. Bloomberg Law also reported that the US Justice Department appealed Judge Timothy Kelly's order.
On October 13, the federal court extended protection for the journalists' press credentials. That order concerns access during the litigation rather than a final resolution of the lawsuit.
Trump announced a ban on the three outlets' White House access on September 18, accusing them of spreading false information. CNN, MS NOW and Politico challenged the restriction, alleging a violation of the US Constitution's First Amendment protection of free speech.
