The U.S. president did not specify which war he had in mind while listing his accomplishments in the context of the Nobel Peace Prize.
“I settled eight wars, and another one is coming,” Donald Trump told reporters at the White House when discussing his chances of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The president did not name the conflict he expects to settle, RIA Novosti reported.
Trump has repeatedly said he deserves the award. The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. She later gave Trump her medal during a meeting with him.
Trump has previously linked what he called a possible “ninth war” to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. This time he did not say which conflict he meant. He has separately claimed to have prevented several armed confrontations.
