Tsivilev names Moscow region and Crimea as next locations for energy storage
Energy storage systems are planned for the Moscow region and Crimea following projects in Krasnodar Territory and the Russian Far East, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev said on October 19.
Speaking to the State Duma's budget and tax committee, Tsivilev said a decision had already been taken to install 250 MW of storage capacity in the Far East. Rosseti will carry out that project. He identified the Moscow region and Crimea as the next locations in line.
Rosseti and Rosatom completed the Krasnodar Territory storage project in seven months, the minister said. He added that the installation was in its fourth month of operation and praised its efficiency.
