Turkish embassy rejects claims about Fidan's Baku meeting

Türkiye's embassy in Azerbaijan on October 17 rejected a Qafqazinfo report alleging that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a secret meeting in Baku and issued instructions.

The report concerned the minister's contacts with the Youth Assistance Foundation during his Azerbaijan visit. The embassy dismissed allegations of interference in the country's internal affairs and the training of influence agents as false.

Diplomats said Fidan had met representatives of an organisation operating legally in Azerbaijan. The embassy denied that there had been either a secret meeting or the instructions attributed to the minister.
