
Five foreign nationals are accused of abducting a compatriot in Moscow. The victim was freed, two suspects were detained and three others were placed on a wanted list, the city’s Investigative Committee said.
Investigators say five foreign nationals approached an acquaintance near a residential building on Yuny Lenintsev Street on the evening of October 5. They allegedly used force, put him in a car trunk against his will and drove away. The victim was later released.
The two detained suspects have been charged with kidnapping. Investigators plan to ask Kuzminsky District Court on October 8 to remand them in custody. The court will consider the requested measure for those two defendants.
Three other alleged participants have been charged in absentia. Investigators plan to seek their arrest in absentia. The Moscow Investigative Committee said the three had been placed on a wanted list.
