UEFA restricts attendance at Serbia's next home match

Serbia must play a home match with restricted spectator access following racist behavior by supporters. UEFA also imposed fines totaling 129,500 euros on the country's football association.
The sanctions followed reviews of Nations League matches against Greece and Netherlands. RIA Novosti reported that UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body imposed the measures, including one home game without normal spectator access.
The Football Association of Serbia said children and visiting supporters would be permitted to attend the next home match against Germany on November 13. Those exceptions mean the stands will not be entirely empty despite the main restriction.
The association also received a ban on ticket sales for one away match. That measure is suspended for a two-year probationary period, distinguishing it from the restriction on the upcoming home game.
Serbia lost each of its first four group-stage matches. It competes in Group 2 of League A in the Nations League.
