UK opens Kyiv business centre for companies in the defence sector

The new Kyiv hub is intended to help British small and medium-sized firms connect with Ukrainian partners and pursue joint industrial projects.

The UK Ministry of Defence said on October 8 that a dedicated business centre for British industrial companies had opened in Kyiv, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. The initiative was developed with the National Armaments Director (NAD), industry partners and finance-sector representatives. It is the first centre of its kind in the Ukrainian capital, the ministry said.

The centre is intended to help firms build ties with Ukrainian partners, gain local market information and pursue joint development, production and investment. The ministry presents it as part of broader industrial cooperation between the two countries. RIA Novosti also cited Moscow’s position that Western arms supplies to Ukraine hinder a settlement and negotiations.
