Vedomosti: bank cloud platform tests planned for late 2026

Public tests of cloud platforms for the banking sector are planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, a Bank of Russia representative told Vedomosti, according to RIA Novosti.

Cloud providers and financial institutions are developing the criteria through a working group of the Finance industrial competence centre's testing platform. The newspaper said the checks would include compliance with Federal Service for Technical and Export Control Order 239 requirements for critical information infrastructure.

Proposed checks cover separation of different customers' data and networks, centralised access management, encryption and protection of external traffic against cyberattacks. The working group also envisages annual penetration tests.

PSB's director of IT transformation and operational control, Igor Panov, told the newspaper that the cloud infrastructure requirements had been drawn up and the system was ready for testing.
