Warehouse fire in Aksay fully extinguished

Emergency crews fully extinguished the fire at Aksaykardandetal's plastic-product warehouses in Aksay at 13:58 Moscow time on October 14. The blaze had spread across nine thousand square metres.

The district emergency authority announced the completion of firefighting operations. Crews had stopped open flames at 07:42 that morning, but full extinguishment was declared later.

The fire began on October 13 across five hundred square metres. A second warehouse caught fire, a wall collapsed and the blaze expanded to nine thousand square metres. It was assigned a third-level response classification.

Water supplies were temporarily cut on nearby streets to provide water for firefighting. Police maintained public order and access for emergency vehicles. The statement did not announce restoration of the local water supply.

Initial air samples showed concentrations of suspended particles and soot above permissible levels in residential areas. On the morning of October 14, the district authority said chemical concentrations in the air met hygiene standards.
