Aksay warehouse fire contained across 9,000 square meters

Emergency authorities said they halted the fire's spread at 19 Gagarin Street at 8:26 p.m. Moscow time on October 13.
The initial burning area was 500 square meters. RIA Novosti later reported growth to three thousand square meters before the blaze expanded to nine thousand.
Early in the response, 66 personnel and 26 vehicles were deployed. By the containment announcement, those numbers had risen to 121 personnel and 45 vehicles, Interfax reported, citing regional emergency authorities.
Responders said warehouses containing plastic and pallets were burning. A public health laboratory was sent to assess air conditions. The cited statements did not give measurement results.
Containment means the fire has stopped spreading, which is not the same as complete extinguishment. The published operational accounts do not establish the cause of the blaze.
