Wartime bomb defused near Borussia Dortmund’s stadium

A 250 kg American bomb from the Second World War was defused in Dortmund on the evening of October 20, DPA reports.

An area within a 300-metre radius was evacuated for the operation. It included the Westfalenhalle complex and Borussia Dortmund’s home stadium, Signal Iduna Park.

Once the bomb had been defused, the Rammstein Symphonic Experience show at the concert complex was able to begin on time.
