A woman from Starobelsk municipal district was detained in the Lugansk People’s Republic on suspicion of justifying terrorism, Lenta.ru reported, citing the regional directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee. The case is being investigated under Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code, which covers public justification of terrorism or its propaganda.

Investigators allege that the woman posted on a social network banned in Russia a publication that may have shown members of an organization designated as terrorist, and left a comment under a video. The agency said linguistic and psychological assessments found indications of justification of a member’s actions and of the organization’s activities.

The allegations and assessment findings come from investigators. The report provided no information about a formal charge or court ruling, and the woman’s guilt has not been established by a court.
