After the gathering, Banyai returned home conscious and later called emergency services. He was taken to hospital in Compiègne, where he died hours later. Toxicology tests are under way. The University of Technology of Compiègne said it had not been informed that the event was being organized. The hospital said it would provide information to the family and authorities as needed.
