Abdulkhalikov sets youth league record with 43rd goal of season

Dynamo Moscow's 15-year-old Matvey Abdulkhalikov set a Youth Football League season scoring record with his 43rd goal in the October 10 match against Rubin, the Russian Football Union said.

Abdulkhalikov scored in the 55th minute of the away game in Kazan to bring Dynamo level. The round 25 fixture in the under-15 competition ended 1–1.

He surpassed a mark held for two years by Zenit St Petersburg's Vadim Shilov. Five rounds remain in the championship, so Abdulkhalikov still has opportunities to add to his new record before the season ends.

Dynamo are second in the table with 58 points after the draw, one point behind leaders Zenit. The scoring milestone therefore comes while the two clubs remain closely matched in the race for first place.
