Alalykin to miss Salavat Yulaev’s Far East road trip

Salavat Yulaev forward Danil Alalykin will miss the team’s Far East road trip because of an injury, head coach Viktor Kozlov said on October 14 after a 4–2 home defeat by Sibir.
Alalykin was absent from the lineup against Sibir. Kozlov attributed the defeat to poor finishing, saying the team moved through the neutral zone effectively but later rushed its play and spent more time around the perimeter.
The coach cited accumulated fatigue and the need to improve off-puck play, defending and pressing. He said individual errors were connected to the team’s collective play.
Kozlov said he would have liked Grigory Panin to play his thousandth game in Ufa against Ak Bars. However, he was prepared to use him during the Far East trip because every player was needed.
After the Sibir game, Salavat Yulaev stood fifth in the Eastern Conference with 17 points from 16 games. Their next game is away to Amur on October 17.
