Viktor Kozlov warns two Salavat Yulaev players may miss extended time

Salavat Yulaev coach Viktor Kozlov said Danil Alalykin and Alexander Alexeyev could face extended absences. Both players missed the October 9 game against Metallurg.
Kozlov said forward Alalykin had a concussion after a hit by Darren Dietz in the previous game against Sibir. Alalykin scored the overtime winner in that match, which Salavat Yulaev won 5-4.
Defenseman Alexeyev underwent an examination. Kozlov did not identify his condition and said the situation remained unclear. The coach raised the possibility of lengthy absences at his postgame press conference but gave no return dates.
Salavat Yulaev lost 7-1 away to Metallurg, its fourth defeat in five games. Kozlov said the opponent had been faster and fresher, while his team lacked the energy to compete. He said the players needed to adapt to their schedule.
Asked whether team leaders should be held accountable for such results and missed opportunities, Kozlov said responsibility should rest with him.
