Alibaba starts selling Qwen N1 glasses and Qwen Clip earbuds in China

Alibaba began selling Qwen Glasses N1 smart glasses and Qwen Clip earbuds in China on October 13. Both products integrate the company's Qwen voice-based AI assistant.

The lineup was shown at September's Apsara Conference, when the sales date was announced. The new development is retail availability rather than the first unveiling of the technology.

The N1 series includes a 50-megapixel camera. Interfax reported bone-conduction microphones and claimed battery life of 25 hours on standby or nine hours of music playback. These are manufacturer specifications, rather than independently tested results.

Qwen Clip was developed with Bose. The open-ear, clip-on earbuds support conversation translation, note-taking and voice commands. Their reported price is 1,299 yuan.

Alibaba describes closer integration between the glasses and Qwen than in the first generation, introduced last November. The assistant provides voice access to device functions, including shopping and payments.
