Three children discharged after Makhachkala road incident

Dagestan police said children struck by a car received hospital treatment and were sent home. Prosecutors are overseeing the incident review.
Police said the collision occurred on October 12 on Ali-Gadzhi Akushinsky Avenue. A local resident driving a Lada Granta struck three children who were on the roadway.
The children were born in 2015, 2016 and 2019. They were taken to a medical facility and discharged after receiving care. The police statement did not give specific diagnoses.
Prosecutors in Makhachkala's Sovetsky district said they were overseeing the procedural review. Their preliminary account said the driver was intoxicated. That remains one of the circumstances under examination.
The police account identifying Monday is consistent with the October 12 date reported by the regional RIA Dagestan agency. Prosecutorial oversight does not establish that a verdict has been issued or the cause of the collision finally determined.
