Anton Mitryushkin wins Lokomotiv’s September player vote

The captain and goalkeeper received 68% of supporters’ votes. The club’s poll results were reported on October 9.
Andrey Mostovoy finished second with 20% of the vote. Nikolay Komlichenko received 6%, Sergey Babkin took 4% and Evgeny Morozov earned 2%, RIA Novosti reported, citing the club’s Telegram channel.
Mitryushkin played in three Russian league matches during September. Lokomotiv beat Baltika 1:0, lost 1:2 to Zenit and drew 1:1 with Krylya Sovetov.
The goalkeeper kept a clean sheet against Baltika. That match delivered Lokomotiv’s first victory of the current Russian Premier League season.
The September award extended the captain’s run of recognition from supporters. Mitryushkin had previously also been named Lokomotiv’s best player for July and August, before topping the latest monthly poll by a clear margin.
