Baltika beat Krylya Sovetov 2–0 in Russian Cup

Baltika defeated Krylya Sovetov 2–0 in Samara on October 14 in the fourth round of the Russian Cup’s RPL Path group stage.
Yegor Golenkov opened the scoring in the tenth minute from an Ilya Petrov assist. The 27-year-old former Krylya Sovetov youth player kissed the pitch after scoring, Sport-Express reported.
Ilya Kirsh added the second goal in the 77th minute. The Russian Football Union’s match record also credits Petrov with that assist. The visitors kept their two-goal advantage through the final whistle.
The clubs share Group C with Zenit and Dynamo Makhachkala. Both return to cup action on October 29, when Krylya Sovetov host Dynamo and Baltika welcome Zenit.
