BJP plans Keralam Assembly march demanding two leaders' resignations

The Bharatiya Janata Party plans a march to the Keralam Legislative Assembly on October 12. It is demanding the resignations of Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan and opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan.

State general secretary S. Suresh announced the plan in Thiruvananthapuram on October 11. The march is scheduled for the opening day of the Assembly session. The demand concerning Satheesan is linked to his participation in Congress protests over the revision of electoral rolls.

For Vijayan, the BJP cited a Kerala High Court order to register a case involving alleged payments from CMRL to Exalogic. Registration of a case does not establish guilt.

Suresh said the party would continue protests inside and outside the Assembly. Claims that the government is illegal or that the two leaders lack moral authority to remain in office represent the BJP's political position.
