Bribery case opened against Taganrog deputy city administrator

Investigators in Russia’s Rostov region have opened a bribery case against Taganrog’s deputy administrator responsible for municipal services. The regional Investigative Committee announced the case on October 14.

Investigators allege that between September and November 2023 the official received 360,000 roubles through an intermediary from a business representative. The money allegedly secured favourable treatment when municipal landscaping contracts were awarded.

According to the committee, the arrangement also covered acceptance of completed work and timely payment. The case was opened on the basis of material supplied by the regional Federal Security Service, and the suspect’s home was searched.

RBC and local outlets identified the official as Yegor Dolmatov, who took up the deputy administrator post in January 2023. Local media reported his detention. The allegations remain under investigation and do not establish guilt.
