Cincinnati beat Atlanta with two late goals as Miranchuk comes off bench

Atlanta United lost 3–1 at home to FC Cincinnati in MLS on October 10. Alexey Miranchuk came on in the second half before the visitors secured victory with two late goals.

Kevin Denkey opened the scoring in the 52nd minute. Miguel Almirón equalised in the 69th, leaving the teams level at 1–1 until the closing stages of regulation time.

Tom Barlow restored Cincinnati's lead in the 84th minute. Denkey then scored his second goal seven minutes into stoppage time, completing his brace and sealing the away victory.

Miranchuk began on the bench and entered the match in the 56th minute, after Denkey's opener. The Russian midfielder was on the field as Atlanta drew level before conceding twice.

It was Atlanta's fifteenth defeat of the season. The club has 27 points and sits fourteenth, second from bottom, in the Eastern Conference. Cincinnati has 36 points and occupies ninth place.
