Court service reports over 144 million rubles in alleged STS fraud losses

Alleged losses in criminal cases involving Alexey Bobrov, Tatyana Chernykh and other defendants exceeded 144 million rubles, the Sverdlovsk Region courts' press service told RIA Novosti on October 14.
Investigators link the former beneficiary of utility holding Corporation STS and other defendants to alleged theft of budget subsidies. The allegations remain subject to examination in court.
Bobrov and former holding board chair Tatyana Chernykh are being tried separately at Yekaterinburg's Verkh-Isetsky District Court. Both have entered pretrial cooperation agreements and are currently under house arrest.
The investigation also involves former Oblkommunenergo director Dmitry Budanov, who remains in pretrial detention. The courts' press service said his case had not yet been submitted to a court.
Bobrov's assets were transferred to the state in October 2025 following a Prosecutor General's Office anticorruption lawsuit. That separate civil proceeding does not determine guilt in the criminal subsidy cases.
