Customs report long waits to enter Kaliningrad region from Poland

The wait to enter Russia from Poland has reached 5-6 hours, Russia's North-Western Customs Administration said. Most passenger cars are using the Mamonovo-2 crossing.

The administration linked the increased traffic to autumn school holidays in some German states. It said queues on the Polish side were also being caused by more intensive checks by Polish services.

Mamonovo-2 has separate lanes for buses and tourist groups. Travellers can complete passenger customs declarations for personal-use goods in advance, using the forms and instructions available on the Federal Customs Service website.
