Cyprus visa centres resume accepting applications in Russia, ATOR says
Cyprus visa centres in Russia are resuming the acceptance of documents from October 12, 2026, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported, while warning that their websites were still malfunctioning.
ATOR said the websites were returning a 404 error, meaning the requested page could not be found. The association’s announcement about document acceptance therefore does not confirm that the centres’ online services have been restored.
Applications had been temporarily suspended on October 8 because of technical problems. The interruption affected centres in Moscow, St Petersburg, Samara, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk, RBC reported.
This follows a separate interruption involving BLS International’s Russian centres in June. At that time, the Cyprus embassy attributed the suspension of visa issuance to the expiry of its agreement with the operator.
The October announcement concerns the resumption of document acceptance after the latest technical interruption. It does not establish that an applicant’s visa has been approved.
