Daria Klepikova takes 100m butterfly bronze with personal best

Russia’s Daria Klepikova won bronze in the women’s 100-metre butterfly at the Swimming World Cup in Tashkent, setting a personal best of 55.72 seconds.
Klepikova’s result came in the final on October 10 at the second stop of the short-course series in Uzbekistan. World Aquatics’ official athlete profile lists the time as her personal best in the event and records a bronze medal.
Belgium’s Roos Vanotterdijk won in 55.20 seconds, while China’s Wang Yichun took silver in 55.70, according to the published race results. Klepikova finished just two-hundredths of a second behind the silver medallist.
The Tashkent competition ran from October 8 to 10. Sport-Express reported that Russian swimmers participated with their national flag and anthem. Klepikova’s third place relates specifically to the butterfly final, rather than the overall World Cup classification.
