The producer suggested Philipp Kirkorov, Polina Gagarina, Valeria, Vanya Dmitrienko and Marfa as possible Russian contestants, while saying the field could be broader.
Composer and producer Viktor Drobysh named performers he believes could represent Russia at the next Intervision contest. In an interview with RIA Novosti, he mentioned Philipp Kirkorov, Polina Gagarina and Valeria, as well as younger singers Vanya Dmitrienko and Marfa Nikolaeva.
Drobysh singled out Kirkorov because of his experience and said the singer could raise the contest’s level with serious preparation. The names were offered in response to a question about possible Russian representatives and were not presented as a confirmed lineup.
The revived Intervision returned in 2025 after a long break, with the contest held at Live Arena in Moscow. Russia was represented by Shaman (Yaroslav Dronov), who withdrew from the contest for the prize. Vietnamese singer Duc Phuc won. Organizers announced during the final that Saudi Arabia would host the next contest in 2026.
