Evil Geniuses announces plans to cease operations in November

Esports organisation Evil Geniuses has announced it will cease competitive and day-to-day operations in November, citing limited sponsorship and rising competition costs.

The organisation said prolonged efforts to build a sustainable business model had not made continued operations viable in current conditions. EG plans an orderly wind-down while working with affected players, coaches, staff and other stakeholders.

Evil Geniuses won Dota 2's The International in 2015 and the Valorant world championship in 2023.
