Globes identifies Azerbaijan as buyer in Elbit's $235 million rocket deal

Elbit Systems has secured an approximately $235 million contract to supply EXTRA-MR rockets and PULS rocket artillery systems to a European customer. Sources cited by Israeli business newspaper Globes identified the buyer as Azerbaijan.

The company announced the agreement on October 19. It is a government-to-government deal between Israel's Ministry of Defense and the customer country's defence ministry. Deliveries are scheduled over three years, Globes reported.

The contract includes PULS launchers, additional rocket artillery platforms and integrated logistical support.

The order also covers EXTRA-MR medium-range precision-guided supersonic rockets. According to Elbit, they are compatible with PULS and designed to strike targets at ranges of up to 80 km.
