Gorbacheva wins Budapest Trophy short programme

Alina Gorbacheva leads the Budapest Trophy in Budapest after scoring 73.02 points in the women's short programme. The event continues on October 18.

The Russian skater performed a triple loop, double Axel and triple Lutz–triple toe loop combination. All her spins and her step sequence received level four.

Gorbacheva is the only Russian in the women's singles event and competes as a neutral athlete. The free programmes take place on October 18.
