Guzina double leads Orenburg to 4-0 victory over Dynamo Makhachkala

Orenburg beat Dynamo Makhachkala 4-0 at home on October 10 in the tenth round of the Russian Premier League. Gedeon Guzina scored twice, with John Palacios and Jordhy Thompson also finding the net.

Guzina opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Palacios added the second in the 39th, giving Orenburg a 2-0 lead at the interval. Dynamo failed to score in either half.

Guzina completed his double in the 53rd minute. Thompson converted a penalty in the 69th to complete the scoring, leaving the hosts with two goals in each half.

It was Orenburg’s first league victory since July, when they defeated Rostov 2-1 in the opening round. The latest win took them to 12 points, the same total as Dynamo Makhachkala.

Dynamo are scheduled to host Akron on October 17 in the next round. Orenburg will travel to Rodina two days later.
