IIM Bangalore ranks 11th in Financial Times teaching-case assessment

The Financial Times placed IIM Bangalore 11th globally for the impact of its teaching cases on business and policy practice. It ranked first among Indian schools in the category.

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) ranked 11th among 50 business schools in the Financial Times’ 2026 assessment of the impact of teaching cases on business and policy practice. It was the highest-ranked Indian institution in the category.

According to IIMB, 680 higher-education institutions in nearly 50 countries subscribed to and used its cases in 2024 and 2025. Users included faculty, students, companies and professionals. The institute published 26 cases through Harvard Business Impact in each of those two years.

Case sales rose from 140,457 in 2024 to 184,879 in 2025, an increase of nearly 32 percent. The assessment measures the reach and adoption of teaching cases. It does not directly measure their effect on individual companies’ performance or government decisions.
