Iran's Pezeshkian to receive Lavrov during Tehran visit

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will receive Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during his visit to Tehran on 19 October, Russia's Foreign Ministry said.

In an announcement reported by Interfax, the ministry said the meeting would cover bilateral cooperation and international issues of mutual interest.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had previously announced planned talks between Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The ministers are expected to discuss international and regional affairs, with a focus on the situation around Iran. The trip is scheduled as a working visit.
