Bahrain's king receives Sergei Lavrov in Manama

Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Manama, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on October 18.

Zakharova posted photographs of the audience on her Telegram channel. Lavrov is visiting Bahrain for the ninth ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The previous foreign ministers' meeting in this format took place in Sochi in September 2025. The council comprises Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
