Israeli forces raid Palestinian NGO offices in Ramallah
Al Jazeera reported searches and equipment seizures. Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported troops entering a medical complex's courtyard.
The raids took place on October 13 in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Al Jazeera said Israeli forces searched the Union of Palestinian Women's Committees and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association. Correspondent Nida Ibrahim reported seizure of the rights group's property.
Anadolu separately reported a raid in the city and the closure of several organisations' offices. WAFA, citing local sources, said troops entered the Palestine Medical Complex's courtyard and deployed snipers near its entrances.
Ibrahim also reported stun grenades being fired at journalists covering the raid. Those details are attributed to the reporting source. The accounts reviewed contain no Israeli military explanation of the objectives of today's operation. Israeli authorities had previously closed Addameer after designating it a terrorist organisation.
