Kaganovskaia and Nekrasov take silver at Denis Ten Memorial

Russia’s Vasilisa Kaganovskaia and Maxim Nekrasov finished second in ice dance at the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty on October 10. They scored 187.20 points across the two programmes.
Finland’s Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis won with 191.32. Americans Caroline Green and Michael Parsons placed third on 180.37.
Two other Russian teams finished outside the medals. Irina Khavronina and Devid Naryzhnyy were fourth with 179.04, while Anna Shcherbakova and Egor Goncharov were sixth with 169.77.
The silver medallists were also runners-up at the most recent Russian championships. The Denis Ten Memorial belongs to the ISU Challenger Series, an international circuit run under the International Skating Union since 2014.
Russian skaters have been admitted to international competition under neutral status. Their access to the largest events remains limited by quotas linked to insufficient ranking points.
