Arsenii Fedotov leads junior podium sweep at Denis Ten Memorial

Arsenii Fedotov won the junior men's event at the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty with 251.68 points across two programmes. Aleksandr Chmil and Gleb Kovtun finished second and third, the tournament's official results confirmed on October 10.

The 17-year-old scored 91.38 in the short programme and 160.30 in the free skate, leading each segment of the competition.

Chmil finished with 204.10 points, comprising 74.01 in the short programme and 130.09 in the free skate. Kovtun totalled 201.53, with respective scores of 73.18 and 128.35.

All three were listed under the AIN2 designation in the official standings.

His short-programme score was 1.87 points above Rio Nakata's junior record of 89.51. Sport-Express reported that Fedotov's result would not be registered as an ISU record because of the competition's status and category. The protocol confirms his tournament score rather than a change to the official record.
